ANOTHER cliffhanger and even more twists? Gosh, this makes me want to read it even more. I have a feeling that waiting for this book in September will be even longer now! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! :D
Best book ever!?! Now I'm on the edge of my seat too!
ReplyDeleteDid not know this was going to be a trilogy! I can not wait for Catching Fire...but should I ~gasp~ wait until the 3rd book is out? Nah - I don't have that much will power :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review and the contest!
What you say????? Hee hee, I like this kind of review and hope I score a copy somewhere!!! Love this kind of book that makes somebody want to cuss, scream, whoop and holler! LOL
ReplyDeleteI still want this book, but the prospect of a serious cliffhanger is daunting. I liked the end of the last book. I didn't even NEED a sequel. But a serious cliffhanger... *biting my fingernails*
ReplyDeleteAcck. Best book ever? Cliffhanger? Twists? I want Catching Fire now! If we're commenting here but have already commented on your contest link, do we comment again on the contest link?
ReplyDelete- Alex
Wow, I've heard so many good things about this book. And another cliffhanger? This is going to make me so anxious, I can feel it.
ReplyDeleteAlex,
ReplyDeleteBetter safe than sorry. You can just add another comment on the contest and that'll ensure you the points.. otherwise, I may forget. :)
Don't tell me that - we can't get it over here until September. I was gagging to read it, now I am just plain desperate.
ReplyDeleteOh, dear! I don't know if I can wait for this one to come out!! Did you like it as much as the first book? Is there a good love triangle in this one? I guess I will just have to reread Hunger Games and hope that will tide me over until this one comes out.
ReplyDeleteHave you read her Gregor books? I've read the first three and they are also really good. They may be for a slightly younger audience, and so far there isnt any "romance", but they are still a fun read.
Well if it's the best book ever...
ReplyDeleteIt sounds AMAZING. I want it!
Wow. This just makes me even more excited to read this book. From what i've heard, your review is exactly right!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best sort of review ever. No-one telling us that x happened (even if they don't think it's a spoiler, it IS!), and just reassurance that it's freaking awesome. Thank you!
ReplyDeletelol. I don't know how I'm going to survive until next year when book 3 comes out.
ReplyDeleteI can barely wait until this one comes out! After that I have to wait a whole year for the 3rd one what will I do?
ReplyDeleteBut reading the 2nd one early would help!
This novel has been such a tease for me...I see contests everywhere, but I never win! I just keep hearing how amazing it is...
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great book/series.I'll have to add them to my list.
ReplyDeleteLove the short but sweet review ;)
I love how your review is just straight to the point! Short, sweet, and just enough to make me want it more. Between this and your tweets, I think you are teasing me on purpose ;)
ReplyDeleteno fair, i have just no clue what's happening. My brain is like...dieing or something. I wait 2 know what happens!!!!!
ReplyDeletei can't believe there's a 3rd book. OMG
I wanna read this book so baddddd!!!!! A 5 out of 5 is amazingggg
ReplyDeleteEverybody Taking about the cliff hanger im kind of scared to read a ARC It will just make the waite more bad I could always re read it
ReplyDeleteThat is the shortest review I've ever read... are you going to write a full one when the book is officially released?
ReplyDelete5 out of 5 just makes the wait even more painful... Now I'll just go daydream about it... :S
I loved the hunger games and can't wait to read catching fire! Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteDave
Ah this is great! Thanks for the review! Now I really want it just so that I can review it on my blogger too =P
ReplyDeleteLeslie
Oh, I just love a good mystery, count me in, I am a subscriber, many thanks.

I'm reading the Hunger Games right now and cannot put it down. Now I can't watch for Catching Fire.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it! I haven't read Hunger Games yet, but reviews of that book and a couple of Catching Fire all over the book blogging world have me so desperate to read at least one of these books. I searched at a local bookstore, but they didn't stock the books (long story). So I'm reduced to reading more and more reviews about how good the books are!
ReplyDeleteBest.Book.EVER?
ReplyDeleteWoot!
Kristen! I wish you posted more information on this book, but I can respect and understand why you didn't. You've certainly got my curiosity up, kudos!
ReplyDeleteHaha I love the note to Suzanne <33 I haven't opened my copy of Hunger Games yet (ahh don't ask me why...I will soon though) I know I'll love it =)
ReplyDeleteAww, another cliffie? This is going to brutally bittersweet; it'll be awesome when I finally get to read Catching Fire, but then there'll be a huge wait with a cliffie ending again!
ReplyDeleteOh, man. Love the review. Even though it makes me want to read this book. NOW!
ReplyDeleteMy husband, son, and I all LOVED The Hunger Games, and we can't wait to read Catching Fire! August is almost here!
ReplyDeleteIf you enjoyed these books, you should also check out Suzanne Collins' previous series, The Underland Chronicles, which starts with Gregor the Overlander. It's a middle-grade series (good for your new job!) that our whole family loved - definitely on our list of top books of all time!
Here's my review of that series, in case you're interested:

Thanks for the review - I can't wait to read it myself!
Sue
That's great to hear! I was worrying a little that all my anticipation would ruin CF if it isin't as good as the first.
ReplyDeleteI really hope your right! :P
Isabelle.
I finished HG today and am in love with it. Want to marry it! This is exactly the wonderful squeeing I was hoping Catching Fire would bring on.
ReplyDeleteOh I just want to read this so bad but I know I am going to want the third one as soon as I am done with it and that's not possible. Ugh I love cliffhangers but I hate them. Great mini review without spoiling anything for the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I had convinced myself there wouldn't be a cliffhanger... *eye twitch*
ReplyDeleteAwesome, awesome review. Thanks so much for not spoiling anything!
I've been wanting to read this for a while.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read either of Hunger Games or Catching Fire but I keep hearing such great things about both of them that i'M going to have to check them out.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for this book, I wanna scream!
ReplyDeleteAhh, another cliffhanger...keeping us all on pins and needles for the next book! Great marketing strategy, but only works if the book is worth it so I am thrilled by your review anyway. :D
ReplyDeleteANOTHER cliff hanger? Oh well, wouldn't be Suzie Collins if there wasn't one!
ReplyDeleteFun review. There's something to be said for concise. (and for not giving everything away; I hate that.)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you really loved it. :P
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for this book and your review makes me want it more.. not looking forward to the cliffhanger.. oh how i hate cliffhangers.
ReplyDeletemr93nixter@aim.com
I am so excited to hear that the sequel is not a letdown after the first. The Hunger Games was such a riveting read!
ReplyDeleteCatching fire must be great and more cliffhangers- where everyone waits for the third book, so happy that the the second doesn't disappoint.
ReplyDeleteSeahn
This is my OH MY GOSH I NEED IT BOOK!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! I'd compete in the Hunger Games for this book!
I can't wait to read it!! It driving me nuts, I've been waiting for a year already!!!
Oooooo ... how you tease!
ReplyDeleteWell... $#%&@! That was in no way helpful. I've just finished The Hunger Games. I can't get it out of my head, so I can't read anything else, so I'm rereading it (and only 50 pages from the end now, again). And it's very likely that the bookstores here in our fairly remote community won't even get in their copies of Catching Fire till well after Sept 1--and my family will be visiting me from Sept 5-13, so I probably wouldn't be able to get much reading done then.
ReplyDeleteClearly, I just have to win your giveaway in order to have any hope of getting it read before the family arrives. Otherwise, I might perish from suspense! (But then--oh dear, how will I wait for the third one?)
LOL. I've already been dying to read this and heard the cliff hanger was even worse than in The Hunger Games. Sounds like you really enjoyed it ;-)
ReplyDelete+2 I like short reviews like this, exciting & right to point. If the reviews are too long I sometimes don't read them.
ReplyDeleteI voted on the contest poll
ReplyDeleteThe wait is killing me! I loved the plot twists in the first one. Can't wait for more.
ReplyDeleteGreat review! I cant wait to read this book!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! I want this book so bad! Good review :D
ReplyDelete-Briana
Another cliff hanger? At least that means a 3rd book for sure =)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get my hands on this book!! I read the Hunger Games in about 14 hours and then passed it around to everyone I know!
Glad you enjoyed the book! That means I will too =)
Arrgh, you're making me so jealous! I cannot wait for September to come.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read it yet. :( I LOVE THIS BOOK ALREADY.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Can't you give us moar???
ReplyDeleteThat is the best, shortest review I've ever read. Thanks for not spoiling anything.
ReplyDeleteYou can spoil me though.

I have been trying to acquire this book ever since I learned what an ARC is, several months ago.
I am so looking forward to this, although another cliffhanger may do me in! :-)
ReplyDelete*sigh*
ReplyDeleteI hate cliffhangers.
almost makes me not want to read a book.
(Yeah right! Like that's ever stopped me!)
Sounds like a great read but I do get frustrated when authors do not end books. Still I'd love to win this one and would love the extra points!
ReplyDeletejlansky@comcast.net
I'm so jealous (but nice tiny review)!!! :) I'm sooo excited for September!! Can't wait for Catching Fire!

I've heard sooooo much about this series. Can't wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing the ending to this one really leaves you hanging. Maybe I won't read this one until the third one is out? No, just kidding, I'm totally reading this when I get a copy!
ReplyDeleteCliffhanger, yikes, sounds amazing. Since I am loving the first one I know I will love this one.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read this! Thanks for holding the contest!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm....a very intriguing review you have there. I love it! I really don't like cliffhangers because it keeps me in anticipation until the next book comes out. However, from your review I definitely think I will love this book to because "Hunger Games" was absolutely phenomenal! Thanks for the contest and being so gracious to give away your ARC, I'm sure we all appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteI just got THe Hunger Games, but I've heard so many good things about it, that I'm already excited for the sequel! Lol does that make sense?
ReplyDeleteAbbey
Oh no!!! I HATE cliffhangers! :( Now I don't really want to read it if I'm not going to get any closer at the end!!!! :(
ReplyDeleteI so want to read it though!
