Frogs & French Kisses

Frogs & French Kisses
by Sarah Mlynowski

From her website:

Rachel has finally come to terms with the outrageously unfair fact that her younger sister, Miri, has inherited magical powers from their mom. But now the whole witchcraft thing is spiraling out of control. Mom is a magicaholic, Miri’s on a Save the World kick, and the one teeny tiny love spell that Rachel begged for has gone embarrassingly, horribly wrong.

Suddenly, the fate of everything is in Rachel’s hands.

Her family.

The world.

Senior prom.

I must say that I'm constantly surprised when I like books that normally don't look like they'd appeal to me. I had some clue on this one because I read the first book.

I really love the way the author balances her main character. Rachel is a freshman in high school, self-centered as any teen, but still loves her family and is more intelligent than you can tell at times. I really recommend these books to any teen who likes a little paranormal fun and more of a chic-lit feel to it.

5/5 Roses

  10. Oohhh... another series to add to my list of series to read! :) I am going to try to finish the series I have started before I start any new ones, but I am always down for a good series.

  14. People do say to never judge a book by its cover, but I always do anyway. This honestly doesn't look like it would appeal to me, but I guess it could. Maybe I'll check it out.

  15. If you had never said that it didn't appeal to you AND gave it 5/5 I probably wouldn't pay this book any mind.
