It's Monday, What are you reading?

J.Kaye hosts this wonderful meme.

Click on titles for my reviews or more info on the book.

Blarg! I only read ONE book this week. *shakes head* I know I'll do better next week...

Read this past week:
Willow by Julia Hoban

Currently Reading:
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Anastasia's Secret by Susanne Dunlap
Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink
I, Coriander by Sally Gardner (audiobook)

Give Up the Ghost by Megan Crewe
Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran
Medina Hill by Trilby Keny

Poll Results!
I asked this past week how many books you thought could be on my TBR pile. Then, I showed a picture later on to give a bit more of a hint.
Well, I counted them up and I have 205 books that I own To-Be-Read!
And here's how the poll results break down:
20 or more - 4%
50 or more - 21%
100 or more - 32%
150 or more - 12%
200 or more - 28%

This week's poll deals with my fiance and his love of books. Check out the sidebar...

  • I started the process for getting my new apartment. Looks like I'll be picking up the keys a day or two before my wedding (way earliar than I thought we'd get them), but the price was right and the community of these apartments is SUPERB! I mean they have 3 luxury swimming pool, 3 tennis courts, 2 work out centers, 1 business center, a cafe that has free coffee and cookies and community events like ice cream socials and more! I could go on and on about how awesome this apartment is but one thing stood out to me in the actual apartment - a FIREPLACE! How cool is that? *so excited to move*
  • I was sick this weekend, so no apple picking - sad, but they picked some apples for me.
  • I'm attending two signings and a full day YA conference this week. Seeing Maggie Stiefvater on Wednesday, Michelle Zink on Thursday, and about 10 or so different authors on Saturday including Michelle Zink, Libba Bray, Ellen Hopkins, Cynthia Liu and many more!

Well, I think that's it. Gotta bug the fiance about dishes. :)

  1. Have fun at your signings! I love going to author events. I saw Richelle Mead last week and she was so cool.

  2. Sorry you're feeling under the weather. Hope you feel better soon. Sending you a big virtual hug.

  3. You have some great books this week. Happy reading!

  4. 205 books!! Woww.. and I'm sure that more are coming!
Your apartment seems perfect! Swimming pools for summers and fireplace for winters =)
Such a pity you couldn't go to apple picking..

  5. You have to bug him about choosing dishes, buying dishes or doing dishes?

Hope you're feeling better! For me, feeling ill is always a good excuse to spend the day reading!

  6. Great list to begin the week. I am sorry you did not feel well over the weekend, I too was ill. Have a great time at the book signings.

    My list:

  7. HAHA your TBR pile is bigger then my read pile =P
I can't wait for your reviews of Shiver, Prophecy of the sisters and Give up the ghost!

  8. I do have one question - how do you find local book conferences in your area?
My pile is mostly library books, but trust me - that's enough. :)

  9. I love that your fiance reads too! That is so hard to find. My husband only started reading AFTER I read Harry Potter out loud to him. :) Also, the apartments sound awesome! I would prefer to have a washer and dryer inside my apartment, but a fireplace is hard to find in apartments. Good job *two thumbs up*

  10. I have an award for you! I haven't figured out how to do proper links in comments, so the link is below.

  11. Congrats on the apartment!
Sounds like you have a pretty exciting week ahead of you. Hope you share your author meets with us :)

  12. You're reading 4 books at once? Wow, I could never keep them all straight! Shiver is definitely on my short list - maybe I'll even start it tonight. I haven't decided yet what book to start next!

  13. Wow...lots on your plate! Best of luck with everything!

  14. Can't get over that you have 205 books in your TBR pile! I'm afraid to count mine. If I don't actually count them, then there can't be too many, right? *L*

Congrats on finding a totally awesome-sounding apartment! And how did you ever find one with a fireplace? Very cool!

  15. Wow those signings sound like so much fun and I hope you have fun. Oh and I loved Prophecy of the Sisters. Enjoy!

  16. Have fun at the YA conference. The tbr's on my bookshelf are approaching 300 so I'm saying nothin!!

I'm in the middle of Shiver and enjoying it. Happy reading :-)
    Here's my Monday post

  17. Hope you enjoy the YA conference. I wish we have more events like that where I live.

  18. I hope you had fun at the signing!! I really want to read Shiver and plan on picking it up very soon. I know the I'm always so excited to meet the authors of some of my favorite books, so I hope you had a blast.

  19. Nice current reads. It reminds me that I want 2 read Prophecy of the Sisters.

  20. I loved Prophecy of the Sisters! Hope you do to. I'm reading Lament by Maggie S. and Dreams of the Dead by Thomas Randall.

Leave some love!
