Teaser Tuesday - Willow

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of
Should Be Reading.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
In honor of Julia Hoban and her AWESOME book Willow (which I'm reading), I chose to tease you with the following passage:

Maybe her face isn't any different, but the look in her eyes is. She reaches out a hand to cover them in the mirror. She remembers the reflection that used to stare back at her. Those eyes weren't dead.

  1. TEASER 1:
I put the ring on my left index finger. Thomas took my hand and examined its effect. "Good," he said. "Keep it. And mind you wear it. If Miranda tries to turn you into a goat, I should be able to find you in short order."

    TEASER 2:
"Absurd," I said hastily. "How did I find the door?"

  9. Good teaser. This book scares me. I'm not sure about reading about cutting. :( It's in the Vampire Academy books I'm reading now and it wasn't very graphic but it still freaked me out a bit.
