Alright guys, now that Christmas is over and the New Year is closing in.. we're all starting to think about our goals for 2010!
I'm going to share mine and I encourage you to post about your own and link it here! Because #1 on my list is:
1. COMMENT MORE on other people's blogs! (Please help me do this by linking your blog below)
- I really am a slacker on this lately and wish I wasn't.
2. Read at least 300 books. I think I'll hit 250 this year so I want to up the ante for next year. Check out what I've read here.
3. Look into a Masters of Library Science program for 2011.
4. Lose some weight and start working out again (we're now going once a week.. working our way up!)
5. Keep up with life in general - blogging, work, family, etc.
6. Become more of a neat freak - because I get lazy and just let the mess get bigger and bigger.
7. Keep up with bills this year - I got a little out of it this past year and let my normal meticulous record keeping fall away.
8. Read review books quicker (I am such a slacker sometimes...)
I think that's where I'll stop. Don't want to think up too many right now.

Those are some good resolutions!
ReplyDeleteYou have so much energy! I'm working on the comment thing myself. And reading. I'm going to read more books!
ReplyDeleteThats a lot of resolutions you got there. I usually have trouble keeping one, awesome that you can do a lot more!!!
ReplyDeleteA lot of these are my New Year's resolutions too.
ReplyDeleteI like your resolutions =)
ReplyDeleteThose are great resolutions! I did my own post. I figured I'll add on as the year progresses.
ReplyDeleteHere's my New Year's post
Yeah for getting your MLS! I hope you do it.
ReplyDeleteThose sound like good goals to me! I am not really hoping to read more or less next year- just to read smarter. And, hopefully, take the time to enjoy the story instead of rushing myself.
ReplyDeleteYes, I definitely need to comment more. I read 100 posts, sometimes many more every day and I may leave 5 comments a week. I have horrible lurker tendencies.
ReplyDeleteI linked my posts above, but those are just my blog resolutions/plans/changes. Personally I want to lose weight, go to the gym more and quit smoking.
300 books? Thats more than a book per day, sleeping time and eating time don't count!!
ReplyDeleteSheere took the words right out of my mouth! Good luck and happy 2010!
ReplyDeleteYay for the MLS! I'm in a program right now at UNT and I'm doing the youth services specialty (for non-school librarians) I LOVE it! It's a great program, all online, and it's been a wonderful experience so far. E-mail me sometime if you want more info. I've also got a big list of online program advice saved from PUBYAC if you're interested.

So many resolutions! I tend not to make them so that I won't feel guilty when I don't stick to them :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat resolutions for the new year. I'm not really sure what mine would be. I've never been the type to make New Year's resolutions, but I'll think about it.
ReplyDeleteI think my resolution should be to not buy new books until I have read all the ones I own. Its a major problem of mine! ...exercising couldn't hurt either! hehe!
ReplyDeleteGreat resolutions. I have some of them on my list as well. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the resolution to not buy more books until I've read what I own. And I need to read the ones I've borrowed!
ReplyDeleteDon't be so hard on yourself, we are all slackers sometime! I hear ya with the holding off on the buying. I have literally like 20+ books sitting there waiting to be read - and then I get a coupon in my email and I want to go and buy more books! Ack. The kindle makes it even worse, cause I don't have to even pull out the credit card, just *one eety bitty click* and wham-o straight to my hand.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'm going to do a blog post of my new year resolutions (you guys might hold me to them) so I'll put them here :D
ReplyDelete-Comment more on other people's blog. I'm more of a lurker but I should really get out more.
-Read 100 books. I think I read about 45 books this year (I started reading again in April/May).
-Stop eating chocolate. Call me crazy! I'll probably be a bit b!tchy at first.
Probably not going to do a New Years Resolution post since the blog is so new, but have to say, great goals! I'm hoping to figure out how to comment more amidst all the other things I have going on. And the working out is definitely on the menu!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and Happy New Year!
Great resolutions you have there. I hope I read atleast 100 books:)
ReplyDeleteWay cool! I have mine posting tomorrow. I'll link up then. :)
ReplyDeleteI want to get my daughter potty trained. I also want to lose 15 pounds. My third resolution is to read 150 books this year at least.
ReplyDeleteI love your resolutions and was inspired to come up with my own. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteYAY for a MLS degree! I just graduated this December with my MLIS degree form UWM and loved every minute of it. Completed entirely online. I just linked my goals for 2010. Hope this will be another great year!
ReplyDeleteI haven't totally given up on making new year's resolutions, but maybe I'll limit it to ones I can meet. So, since I love books, I'll start with that. I've signed up for two reading challenges in 2010 to give me a goal to work towards. :)
ReplyDeleteI love it. I have been such a lurker, I have no idea when you changed your header because I just catch up on posts through google reader.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could join you on the exercise more/lose weight goal. Unfortunately I will only be gaining weight this year. Baby is due in July and I am on modified bed rest until then. Sounds nice at first to the lazy person which I have become, but I am SOOOOOOOO bored. There is so much I need to do and can't!
Maybe I will type up a resolution post today...can I resolve to make a resolution?! Hmmm....
