So, I realize I have a problem - a book buying one. And I think I need therapy.. and a ban. But, I do go to book signings.. so I'm going to have to buy ONE book for each of those. Yes, one. I've decided. So, hopefully my "Bought" list will keep shrinking. So, yes, I will be justifying every book bought with either - Gift Card used, or Book Signing attended. :) And I need you guys to keep me accountable.

  2. I seem to have the same book buying problem. I also wish that I could have attended the Children's Lit Conference because it looks like some excellent authors were there.

Great haul! I hope you enjoy all the books you bought. I loved the ones by Tamora Pierce. Happy reading!

  8. I go to three different libraries to get books in an effort to keep myself from buying. I still get those impulse purchases-even at the grocery store I hit the book section. Thankfully they have a very small selection which helps. I guess it is good to support the book industry.

You have a lot of great books to read, especially The Dead Tossed Waves and Before I Fall. I hope you enjoy reading all of your books and I look forward to your reviews.

  9. Wow. That is A LOT of new reads! I have a serious book buying problem too. I've struggled all day not to place an order with Amazon (my credit card is right next to my mouse too. I'm SO ready!).

I recently finally found an Alice in Wonderland book that came with Through The Looking Glass. Now to find the 3rd book!

  12. Don't try to ban your book buying - it doesn't work! How about a reward system? You can only buy a book if you accomplish a predetermined task. OR you know, you could just buy all the books you want and your house gets to full you can send them to me! ha!
    I know...not helping :)

  16. Okay so I have found that my book buying problem can be somewhat alleviated by rewarding myself. My fiance told me if I went 6 months without buying a book (certain exceptions were made) he would give me $50 to buy books at the end of the 6 months. Unfortunately I only made it three and I gotta start all over again, but it's fun to try. (Of course I also have 26 books out of the library so I guess it's how you look at it.)
