Welcome to Day 2 of the Blogoversary Bash! Make sure to take a chance at a box of books (US) or $30 worth of books (International) via the ongoing Comment Contest! Just fill out this form and start commenting!
Now, yesterday I asked you to leave some questions and I will answer them as we go on in the month! I've picked three questions for today to answer.
aprilnicole asked me two questions:
Out of the author's that you have interviewed who do you think gave the best answers?
I definitely think that Sean Beaudoin gave the best answers to any interview I've ever posted on the blog. Click on his name to find out why. I just thought him absolutely hilarious.
What's your favorite book that you have reviewed in this year? (If you have to you can do a top 5)
Okay, so I definitely think that this year.. and I'm counting just from January on...
Yeah, definitely going for Top 5 here guys:
In no order:
Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
A Spy in the House (The Agency) by Y.S. Lee
Forbidden Sea by Sheila A. Nielson
Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
Radiant Shadows by Melissa Marr
All the reviews are linked below, so check em out!
And one more question, this one comes from Allison! She asked:
What author have you enjoyed meeting the most in real life?
Wow, this is tough, but I have a really awesome reason for the person(s) I am picking...
Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia, authors of Beautiful Creatures
And my reasoning - they liked meeting me so much they asked me to sign my blog bookmarks for them! They were hilarious and it was probably one of the best nights of my life. I think I cried because I was laughing so hard - no joke! I mean I have met some awesome authors and all of them are fantastic - but I think that will always be the most memorably one.
And now.. for the giveaway!
You get to do a little traveling for this one. In honor of my one year blogoversary, my affiliate Misty over at The Book Rat is hosting a giveaway for any of the three books in The Hunger Games trilogy! Head over to her blog to sign up now!
Also, if you too have a question for me - please leave it below! :-D
Or if you want to answer any of the questions I answered, please do, because I'm always interested in seeing who other people have met and more about you bloggers and non-bloggers. :-D

ReplyDeleteHow does it feel to be blogging for a whole year and what do you think are you biggest accomplishments? :)
ReplyDeleteI just went and read the interview. You are right, he is pretty funny. I liked his advice to writers too.
ReplyDeleteI've met Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia, too! I loved meeting them.
ReplyDeleteI really want to read Hex Hall. And of course, Radiant Shadows because I haven't had a chance to read that one yet. Great top 5! Loved the answers to the questions. Very cool that u were able to meet the authors of Beautiful Creatures!
ReplyDeleteI have to read Hex Hall and Raised by Wolves! :)
ReplyDeleteLets see, for another question...
ReplyDeleteIn honor of Misty's Jane in June celebration, what is your favorite Austen novel? (Or you can choose a spin-off/sequel if you so choose.)
I really liked your Raised by Wolves review, I clicked over to check it out because I'm excited to read it :)
Since you gave us your top 5 favorites of the year thus far what are you top 5 least favorites?
ReplyDeletei was just over at misty's blog. so excited for mockingjay. thanks kristen and misty :)
ReplyDeletehere's my top 5 books i reviewed this year: (in no order, at the top of my head)
wicked becomes you by meredith duran
the devlin diary by christi phillips
something about you by julie james
practice makes perfect by julie james
catching fire by suzanne collins
I'll opt for answering the questions because I love answering questions.
ReplyDeleteI've only done two author interviews but I think Jennifer Brown, author of Hate List gave the best answers.
My favourite book of this year so far would be Youth in Revolt by C.D Payne.
And sadly, I have not met any authors.
Aw, I loved Hex Hall, too! I've also reviewed some other awesome books, like: Whisper by Phoebe Kitanidis, City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare and The Apprentice by Tess Gerritsen.
ReplyDeleteI've never met any authors so far and have only interviewed two. Both were AMAZING, but I think MY QUESTIONS for one of them made her ask better. And it was Tess Gerritsen! :)
HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY!!!
Been reading some good reviews for Hex Hall. Dying to read it! Dunno about the rest, though...
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the anniversary wish mine was as successful but them I'm surprised I have any followers.
ReplyDeleteThanks to both of you for the Hunger Games giveaway and Happy Blogoversary Day 2, Kristen! I agree that Hex Hall was a great one. A surprise favorite of mine was Lips Touch Three Times by Laini Taylor.I just read Blackbringer, too and I like it a lot as well.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your anniversary!
ReplyDeletehappy Blogoversary!
ReplyDeleteSweet contest! And it's so awesome that Kami & Margaret wanted your autograph!
ReplyDeleteQuestion: If you had to own a cow in a natural color, what color would it be?
Random, I know. *grin*
I enjoyed the books in The Mortal Instruments Series tremendously this year! And I think it's quite shocking that I could also fall terribly in love with a romance book that I read couple of weeks back. The book's title is Honest Illusions by Nora Roberts. If you suddenly crave for anything romance, I think you should give this one a shot. So good!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Hunger Game Giveaway! And happy blogoversary to you =)
I would have thought that your fav author that you met in real life would be Maggie Stiefvater :D
ReplyDeleteAny goals for your blog next year?
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversary! Great post by the way. I think my favorite author to meet in person was Tamora Pierce, but I had loved her books for so many years it was so exciting to meet her.

ReplyDeleteSeahn
Loved Sean's answers especially about his fear about ice cream trucks. The line about lizard brain was priceless. What a nice treat from Misty too.
