Alright, this is a wee bit late of notice, but I am hosting a readathon! And it's starting.. Monday, June 14th! :-D

Obviously, I have a lot of books I own that I need to read.. and there may be a few of you in the same situation... so, why not - let's readathon!!!

When: Monday June 14th 8 am (whatever time zone you are in) until Sunday, June 20th - midnight!
Where: Here! Or on your own blog.
What do I have to do? Read, read read. I'm not doing any special activities, but if you're reading this week, join on in.

Just post about this early or wait until Monday, I will have a Mr. Linky up then.

Are there prizes?
Not quite. I will give any participants +10 entries into my Blogoversary comment contest if they are entered in the contest though. :-D

So, stay tuned and Monday join me in reading!

  6. I might just join you, I have tons of bloggy stuff to do, but if I get everything I want done during Bloggiesta I should have plenty of time to devote to Mount TBR next week :)

  12. Oh WOW, good luck! I am really tempted to try some of these read-a-thons but I have no idea what my capabilities are :D LOL.

  13. I want to do this, but chances are I'll end up with a couple grandchildren in the week, and they TAKE ME AWAY FROM MY BOOKS. The little angels. :)

Unless....would children's books count along with our own?

  14. I was just thinking that I needed another readathon to help kick my TBR pile's butt. I'm definitely in! I think I'll aim for at LEAST 7 books, 10 if my work schedule is light.

  15. I will definitely join in, however your goal of 15 books in 7 days, is not something I can match. I have a lot of very long books (500-800 pages). I do not know what my goal will be yet. I will need to go through my shelves.

  16. I'm definitely in! It will be a great primer for the challenge that's starting on my blog a week later, the Summer Slimdown.

  17. Ooh, I'd really like to participate. Only problem is I have family coming in town... Maybe I'll just do a little reading when I can.

  18. I am SO in. My goal is going to be 15 books as well. I'm going to aim for my thinner review books and MG books as well as graphic novels.

  19. I'm prepping for a cross country move, so this was already something I was planning and doing, but I'll reset the clock today.
I'm going to shoot for 25 books. Well, I have a lot of free time next week, LOL.
Wrote about this on my blog, so hopefully GothamGal.net readers will see this and participate as well!

    Good luck to everyone.

  22. I'm going to be finishing the school year this coming week, so I may not get in as much reading time as I'd like, but my TBR pile is turning into a bit of a mountain. Depending on the weather, I bet that I could bust out a few titles. I'm always up for a challenge!

  23. I totally wish I could take three days off from work and participate more- I'll have to see how much I get done in the time that I'm home!

  24. Ah I was going to take a week off from reading. It's all I've been doing lately. 41 books in the last month. Maybe I can get my house in order over the weekend and then take part ;-)

  25. I'd love to join you in this readathon. I'm still working next week, but I'll do my best and I will do lots of reading over the weekend when I'm officially on summer break!

  27. Good luck on the readathon! I would participate but after Bloggiestaing this weekend I really shouldn't. :)

  29. Don't want to name a goal because I might be really depressed if I don't reach it, but it is 5+ books..ha, guess I just named one. Thanks, this is awesome!

  31. I read a lot during the week anyway, and the next few days are pretty free... so I am in for this readathon!

  32. Count me in - sounds like just the thing for cold wet winter days.
No idea of how many books, that will depend on choice.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm in too. I don't have a set goal per say. I am challenging myself to read more during the week. Work has been taking it out of me and I have only been reading on the weekends. Here is the link to my post.

  36. A-week long's readathon?? Sounds super-fun!

  37. OK; I'm in like Flynn! I have LOTS of review books and some just plain "I want to read this books", so, even though I'm working too, I will shoot for seven, including one audiobook, "Innocent" by Scott Turow. Aim low .. that's my motto!

P.S. I'll post this up soon on my blog; will need to put together my list so I can strikethrough as I go!

  38. Love the idea! and even though I am late I am going to sign up.

  39. I wish -- but today is the 16th. Only way I could read so many books is to go visit my one-year-old grandson's home and grab a bunch of his books to read. Heh heh.

  40. Awwwww!!!

    I miss the start date...
