Meeting Authors (6)

So last week I got to meet the authors of The Familiars (which I should have a review up for next week) - Adam Jay Epstein and Andrew Jacobson.

It was another of Anderson's Bookshops Prepublication events. These are great because they provide you with dinner, they have the authors table hop so you can talk one on one with them, and then the authors talk and we get our ARCs signed. Also, they have an ARC that goes around for us to sign for them, which is really fun. I love writing notes to authors and how cool for them to be able to keep those forever.

I had a lot of fun and since we had been chatting via email about their book and doing an interview, they knew who I was, which is always very cool. :)

Next week I don't have any author events coming up, but I have about 3 or 4 the next week. Those authors are:

Alyson Noel
Rachel Vincent
Daniel Waters
Stacey Kade

  1. This year has been the first year I've started attending author signings and really getting involved in the whole scene. It really is so much fun!

  2. I am so jealous! I'd love to have a place like Anderson's near me. I am only an hour away from NYC but it's still not as convenient. Very cool that you were able to meet these authors - I'll have to check out your other meeting authors posts. :)

  6. Thanks Kristen! We had a blast meeting you and for all of you who we haven't met yet, come to our blog and let us know where you live and if there's a bookstore or class we can come visit!

By the way, those books that were signed for us are really amazing. Kristen's right - they will forever be on our bookshelf!
