It's Monday, What are you Reading?

This fantastic meme is now hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books.

Sleepless by Cyn Balog

Currently Reading:
Sacred Scars by Kathleen Duey
Pegasus by Robin McKinley
Peter & Max by Bill Willingham

Upcoming:
Mockinjay by Suzanne Collins
Shadows of the Redwood by Gillian Summers
The Fire Lord's Lover by Kathryne Kennedy
After School Nightmare vol. 9 by Setona Mizushiro
After School Nightmare vol. 10 by Setona Mizushiro

Ugh, last week stunk. I had the go back to work blues or something! Read one book, reviewed ZERO books.

Anyways.. Institute Day tomorrow - it's funny how teachers expect students to sit still for 8 hours, but when we have to do it? Whine whine whine. I am a bit excited because the two computer labs in our school are getting Mimios - a type of smartboard - and we're getting trained on it tomorrow. So, that's exciting and hopefully hands-on. :) Woot!

So, I have the back to school blues - why can't I just get paid to do what I did all summer? I know.. crazy thinking. :) I'm excited but feeling whine-y all the same.

  1. I know how you feel. I went back to school last week and I got practically no reading done. Hopefully this week will be better with the release of Mockingjay! Happy reading!

  2. I just got Sleepless from the library but I don't think I will get to read it this week. I am planning to read Mockingjay this week.

My mother is a teacher and dreading her return to school next week. I hope you have a great week and that training goes well. I think it can be fun to learn new technologies.

  3. My favorite is that teachers are always late to workshops and meetings yet we expect our students to be on time to class!

  5. I think it may be officially that I am the only person not reading nor planning to read Mockingjay. Happy reading. My Monday: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/08/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-9.html

  6. I haven't got the back to school blues, but work has definitely stopped my book a day reading. I am behind on reviews too. Hope you have a better reading week this week.

  7. I know how you feel. Our school year starts again on Monday with 3 days of inservice, classroom time, and open houses. I wish it was June again. I'm not really eager to get back into the "early to bed, early to rise" routine. I'll be fine once it starts, but really dragging my feet about actually starting.

  8. Any kind of change to the day-to-day schedule messes with my world. When school starts here Sept. 1st I will either find myself buckled down to a more strict routine, or I will become all out of sorts. I'm trying to anticipate the wackiness and schedule some posts for a few weeks out...especially on these crazy Mondays!

Good luck getting into your groove!

  9. I don't know how some of you do it, work full time, read and blog like crazy. My daughter started college today and my son starts his senior year of high school September 1, but I'll still be here. lol.

  14. Oh, so sorry your summer vacation is over! Just think of all the poor working stiffs who don't get a summer vacation, though - there, don't you feel a little better?

I loved Sacred Scars and - like everyone else - can't wait for Mockingjay!
