I've decided to start a new feature/meme.
Do you ever have one of those weeks where one of your awesome reviews or posts gets little to no comments? I know I do... And it's not like you can cheer yourself up by commenting on your own post... that's a little like sending yourself flowers on Valentine's Day.
So, here's the deal. Every Sunday, I'm going to throw up a Mr. Linky. You can link any post.. even if it's one of your first reviews for the blog, etc. If it has about 2-3 comments or less, then post it up. But please, only one per week. I will go around and comment on every post and I ask you guys to pick about five posts to comment on yourselves. And when I say comments.. I mean meaningful comments - not just "great post" or "sounds good" - I'm thinking two sentences? Or one long one at least.
I'd offer incentive, but I'm a wee bit broke - the hubby is back on unemployment since the Census work he was doing is now over. So, out of the goodness of your hearts.. I hope you'll participate with me. :)
How to Link: Title of Post (Name of Blog)
Example: Saturday Spotlight (Bookworming in the 21st Century)
Link: http://www.bookworminginthe21stcentury.com/2010/08/saturday-spotlight-badass-bookie.html
Please, only one link per person/blog. :)

Great idea! One of the things I really wanted when I started my blog was for people to be able to actually discuss the books-so far it hasn't happened much on my blog. Maybe this will help!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic idea - thanks fcr doing this Kristen!
ReplyDeleteAwwww - what a great idea Kristen! I love comments and I love commenting and this looks like a pretty cool way to get both! :)
ReplyDelete***runs off to leave some comment love***
:)
Awesome idea! I think sometimes posts just get by-passed for no reason. I'm off to comment on some now! Lol
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! Thanks for starting this meme!
ReplyDeleteHey Kristen, this is such a great meme for me. I know that my book blog is not that popular among book blogger, but having such a meme may help me to promote my blog and hence to get new friends also. Thanks so much kristen..
ReplyDeleteFantastic idea! You're such a smart gal! Love it!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea! Sometimes, I admit I get a little blue because there are so few comments.... thank you for starting this! :)
ReplyDeleteFirst sorry to post mine twice, but the link on #12 didn't work. Second, I was sitting here today wondering how I was going to generate interest in my interview which I thought was really good and I saw "Sunday Blues" and I thought that's me. I missed the Friday hop b/c I was sick so no interest was generated in my site and I'm holding a contest. Thank you so much for having the blues with me. It's a great idea and is a smaller hop for me! Where to you come up with these great ideas?

What a cute idea! It always feels sucky when I write something that no one comments on. Plus, I'm excited to find more book blogs!
ReplyDeleteGood idea! I only get comments on the Monday memes and the Tuesday Teasers. Rarely on my reviews. Don't even know if anyone reads them. But then I read a lot of reviews and don't leave comments either, so I'm assuming a lot of us are guilty of this. :) But then, I'm shy.
ReplyDeleteI've got the monday blues. still only three comments and no entries in my very easy contest.
