Readathon Update + Final Update

The hubster has given up and even called me crazy... he's snoring already! Lol.

So, for the next challenge from At Home With Books, we were supposed to take a picture that reminded us of a character of a book we were reading.

Here's what I came up with:

It is the bottle of dreams from The BFG. Yep, aren't I creative. Those little amber things are dreams.. no joke. :-D

So, finished The BFG by Roald Dahl and am going to start in on Emmy and the Incredible Shrinking Rat.

--Final Update--

So, I wimped out a little.. went to bed around 5:30 am, 1.5 hours before the end of the readathon. Weirdly, I only slept 4 hours.

Total reading time: 11.5 hours
Books read:
1. Rampant by Diana Peterfreund (last 30 pages)
2. The Year of the Dog by Grace Lin (160 pages)
3. Boys of Steel: The Creators of Superman (40 pages)
4. Henry's Freedom Box (40 pages)
5. Stand Tall, Abe Lincoln (48 pages)
6. Frogs by Nic Bishop (48 pages)
7. Hachiko Waits (96 pages)
8. How To Steal a Dog (170 pages)
9. The BFG (208 pages)

Didn't finish
10. Listened to about 30 minutes of Sacred Scars while doing dishes. and then 30 more when I needed a quick break for my eyes. (about 50 pages?)
11. Emmy and the Incredible Shrinking Rat (222 pages)

Total pages: 1,112 (approximately)

  1. The BFG is one of the few Dahl books I haven't read.

  2. Nice photo! I bought Emmy and the Incredible Shrinking Rat for my daughter. Curious to hear how you like it. Happy reading!

  3. I think that's a very creative idea, those dreams. Happy reading!

  4. Hey, very nice. And you are still awake. That's something.

  5. I kinda hate that... no matter how late I stay awake, 3-4 hours is my limit. And I'm ALWAYS awake at 5:30, no matter what. Eh... you did great! This was a lot of fun and I look forward to the next one!

Leave some love!
