Interview and Giveaway with Chloe Neill

Today, I'm happy to be a part of Chloe Neill's blog tour for the release of Hexbound, book 2 of The Dark Elite series. Check out the other blogs on this tour at Chloe Neill's site. Also, I just reviewed Hexbound right before the interview, but you can also check out my review of Firespell as well.

When and why did you begin writing?

I've always had hobbies, but I didn't start writing until approximately 2004--after I felt like I'd read everything there was to read. (At the time, the market for urban fantasy and paranormal romance was much, much smaller).

How did you come up with the title for Hexbound?

Actually, my editor came up with that title! It's a spell cast by Scout in the book.

What five words would you use to describe the Dark Elite series?

Interesting question. How about: Lily. Magic. Underground. Jason. Sebastian.

What is your typical writing environment like? Do you have any "must haves" when writing?

I have a day job, so I typically write in the evenings and on weekends with my laptop. Usually I'm wearing pajamas or yoga pants and the television serves as background noise. :)

If you could travel back in time, what time and place would you choose? And if you can only take 3 things with you, what would they be?

I might visit England during World War II. It wouldn't be a particularly easy place to visit, but I think it would be historically fascinating. I'd probably take medicines and samples of papers after the war to show folks that they will ultimately be successful!

Thanks for having me today!

Thanks to Chloe, I have a nice little giveaway for one person:
a swag pack of St. Sophia's goodies (and a Twice Bitten bookmark!). Fill out the form below to enter, open internationally! Contest ends Friday, January 21st.
