Description: (from Goodreads)Beware of a kiss under the full moon. It will change your life forever.

Celeste Parker is used to hearing scary stories about werewolves—Legend's Run is famous for them. She's used to everything in the small town until Brandon Maddox moves to Legend's Run and Celeste finds herself immediately drawn to the handsome new student. But when, after an unnerving visit with a psychic, she encounters a pack of wolves and gorgeous, enigmatic Brandon, she must discover whether his transformation is more than legend or just a trick of the shadows in the moonlight.

Her best friends may never forgive her if she gives up her perfect boyfriend, Nash, for Brandon, who's from the wrong side of town. But she can't deny her attraction or the strong pull he has on her. Brandon may be Celeste's hero, or he may be the most dangerous creature she could encounter in the woods of Legend's Run.

Psychic predictions, generations-old secrets, a town divided, and the possibility of falling in love with a hot and heroic werewolf are the perfect formula for what happens . . . once in a full moon.

April's Thoughts: For me I would actually rate this a 3.5/5. I liked the relationship between Celeste and Brandon. It was very sweet. The story was kind of a different take on werewolves. In most supernatural stories the characters already know what they are and have to deal with who they are again when they have someone new and different or "human" in their lives. Schreiber took this one a different way and gave the wolf a different look too.

At times the story was a bit slow though and I found myself skimming paragraphs to move along. I mainly just wanted to get to scenes with Celeste and Brandon.

I did not like the ending. Celeste and Brandon overcame one obstacle, which was good. When they were celebrating something happened that I would have thought they would have both been concerned about but only Celeste was. I didn't like that or didn't really get that. (I know that is vague but I don't want to spoil it.) I know this is the first book in new series for Schreiber so what happened at the end I guess is giving way to the nest book. I like cliffhangers when we know that there is a next book but with what happened I would have liked it better if both characters had shown concern.

Even before the ending though I wanted to know what else would happen with the characters. I hope things work out for Celeste and Brandon.

  3. I got this one at Net Galley too - I enjoyed it, but it downloaded to the kindle terribly - did you have to page for days to get past the chapter breaks? I too want to know more about what happens next.
