My thoughts: I had had a little bit of interest in Bleeding Violet but hadn’t gotten around to reading it. Then I committed to reading Slice of Cherry for Night Owl Reviews and when I saw that it was the sequel I figured now was the time incase anything was important in the next one.

Honestly it was a struggle to finish. It says in the description that it is a strange town but it was just a complete mess. There was just too much going on that I had a hard time being able to connect with anything or anyone to make it easier to keep reading. It seemed like everyone had some kind of problem and some people had too many to keep up with.

I would not recommend this for anyone younger than 16. I know that people don’t like censorship so when the author has the freedom to write what they want we do have to admit though that sometimes what they write is only actually appropriate for a certain age. There is a lot of violence, language and several sexual references. If I was a parent I would be looking at how mature my child was before letting them read this.
