Yes, I haven't read this series before. Did I love it? Not completely. Was it seriously entertaining? Yes sir!
I know people gush about Patterson all the time, but his writing is only so-so. The constant action, funny comments, and interesting characters kept me interested. I was surprised by the short chapters - one for each audio track! I half-listened and then half-read the book. The narrators were okay, but nothing I'd probably listen to again.
It was a quick read, full of action, and very very entertaining. It wasn't a book I'd ever buy because I love it, but I'll probably continue on with the series. The book read like an action movie, so I'll be picking those books up after I read some slower, more flowery novels.
I have been following this series since the beginning and while I love the snarky nature of Max and the adventures, I feel the series has suffered after the first three books.

ReplyDeleteI have read all of Patterson Maximum Ride books and while I have not like all of them I really do like Max and the adventures the Flock get into. By far thought the first two books were the best.
