Top 20 Books Read in 2009

Alright, I'm breaking down - even though I could finish a book or two today, I'm posting my list...

I have read nearly 250 books this year. See my list here.

Out of those books, it was tough to pick 9. . . so I'm picking 20 AND I'm not ordering them :-P It was hard enough selecting 20, I'm NOT ordering them.

So, in any random order.. these are the 20 BEST reads of 2009 for me. They all touched me in a different way or surprised me so much that it had to make this list.

And best series that I finished this year:

  2. Thanks for posting. I love BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH, I AM THE MESSENGER, and JESSICA'S GUIDE. I am so jealous that you read 250 books this year. I can't seem to get past 115 books.

  15. I see a couple of things that I need to read on your list.

Best of 2009 like published in 2009 or read in 2009?

Best published in 2009 is probably Geektastic: Stories from the Nerd Herd and best read but not published in 2009 were probably Gemma Bovary and Alice in Sunderland. Granted this list could go a loooot longer....

Percy Jackson and Suzanne Collins are both on my Top 10 list of 2009 as well! I really need to read Lament, I love Maggie Steifvater (I have Linger on my desk calling to me!)

  17. OMG you read 250 books in 1 year??? Wow!!! Lets see...I have Twenty boy summer (have yet to read it), Catching fire was awesome, and Fire was great, If I stay is on my list SOON, Beautiful Creatures I read, and I think that's it. I always get to books way after they are released. :( I'm behind!
