Tell me a bit about yourself.
I'm 26 years old. I enjoy books, movies and a little bit of music. I am a wanna-be writer. I really enjoy crafty things. Those are soothing things to do for me when I need to not think.


When and why did you start your blog?
I started in October of 2009. No real reason. I had always wanted to do a blog so then I thought why not do one where I review things.


What is your blog all about? Any cool features you want to share?
As far as features...I started a Music Monday post where each week I post about an artist that I like. I try to do a weekly post on Sundays listing the books that are coming out that week. (It is only of the books that I know about. I'm sure there are tons more.) I have a meme that I'm going to start on March 25 that will also be weekly - Vampire Thursdays and Fanfiction Fridays.


What are some of your favorite genres and/or books currently?
I find that the books that usually get my attention are supernatural, fantasy, thriller kind of books. I've been trying to read other books that have nothing to do with supernatural or fantasy but I tend to not enjoy those as much.


How do you find out about the books you read?
From other blogs and reviews. I also do searches on amazon with keywords to see what I can find. You can find some interesting things that way.


Any tips or advice for those starting or thinking about starting a blog?
Don't get into it just to try and get a free book. I've had more fun doing interviews than anything. Just start out with the books you own. Some publishers won't send you a book if you are really new, they want to know that you are established and are sticking around.

Also, be sure to network but think about what you are saying when you do so you don't sound mean or pushy. You don't want to turn off authors or publishers from working with you.
