Today I have with me a genuine teenage book-lover who definitely shows a love for books among other things. Learn more about her below.
Name: Bianca
Nickname and/or blog name: Nyxen's Sidewalk Journey Through Life
Blog URL: http://nyxensadventure.blogspot.com
Tell me a bit about yourself.
I'm just a fourteen year old girl living in sunny California with many unhealthy obsessions. I've always loved reading about different worlds and imagining myself in those worlds. Besides reading, I also love writing. Writing is my best friend. I was in fifth grade when I decided I wanted to write for a living. Ever since then I try my hardest to expand on what I read. Besides the obvious, I am also in love with Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and High School Musical. Those are the perks of being me. You get to enjoy what you want.
When and why did you start your blog?
I started blogging at the end of April when I decided I wanted to tell my story. It didn't matter if it would have been read or not but I just wanted to know that I was at least helping someone out there. But then I realized something. "Why not review books too?" I told myself that since I loved to read I would give my input on the books that I have read.
What is your blog all about? Any cool features you want to share?
My blog is practically about my life. I will post things about my life that are worth remembering and then I'll post book reviews. I take my camera everywhere so when something important in life happens, you'll know. When I have more guts, though, I'll email some authors and ask for interviews. That is one of my goals.
What are some of your favorite genres and/or books currently?
I love Fantasy, Adventure, Sci-Fi, Romance, YA (of course!), and many others. I am currently obsessing over The Karma Club by Jessica Brody even though I have not read it, yet.
How do you find out about the books you read?
I usually go to a bookstore-Borders, most likely- and just browse around. I love to find books that I've never heard of before. I also love to look at other bloggers wishlist, IMM, or their book reviews. They come in handy.
Any tips or advice for those starting or thinking about starting a blog?
Post about anything you love. Whether it be about a t.v. show, movies, books, or just your life in general. Nothing is ever wrong when it comes to blogging. Also, make plenty of friends. They will help you a lot if they are more experienced with the blogging world. Plus they are very fun to have.
Thank you Bianca for stopping by and sharing more about your blog! I'm glad you decided to include book reviews on your blog along with other things you love and do in your life. I feel like I haven't had enough "about me" type blog posts lately and will have to change that. :)
