Wordle: BannedBooksWordle

I used my Banned Books post for this wordle.

So, that great wordle was made thanks to a challenge by Reading Through Life.

This next challenge is thanks to The Hungry Readers, who wants us to write a poem about the readathon...

Oh cappucino machine,
How doth I love thee,
Let me count the ways.
1. That lovely smell of caffeine
2. The force of making me stand while I use you
3. The high pitched squeal as you steam my milk
4. The way you keep me awake.. that much longer..
You are the greatest creation since the toilet.

I think I may need a nap soon...

So, I've read a TON of short books.

Total reading time: 4.5 hours
Books read:
1. Rampant by Diana Peterfreund (last 30 pages)
2. The Year of the Dog by Grace Lin (160 pages)
3. Boys of Steel: The Creators of Superman (40 pages)
4. Henry's Freedom Box (40 pages)
5. Stand Tall, Abe Lincoln (48 pages)
6. Frogs by Nic Bishop (48 pages)
7. Hachiko Waits (96 pages)
8. How To Steal a Dog (170 pages)

Working on:
Listened to about 30 minutes of Sacred Scars while doing dishes. (about 20 pages?)
Will probably start The BFG next.

Total pages: 510 (approximately)

  2. Wow! You are really doing amazing! Quite a few titles there to whiz through, it makes it nice though to not have all chunksters to read!

  6. Congrats on the progress! Keep going and get to The BFG-I loved that book so much when I was in elementary school and should probably reread it.

  7. I really should have participated in this read a thon and focused on finishing some of the books I am in the middle of. Though, I do think I might be having more fun cheering than I would be having if I was reading.

I did Skin Hunger on audio but I have not been able to find Sacred Scars yet. I really want to read it. Duey is so masterful.
