Well, I'm basically your average high school student who lives and breathes books. Unfortunately, besides being an accident-prone and an unlucky girl, there isn't much that's interesting about me. I can tell you one thing for sure though, I am a COMPLETE pessimist; I will look on the bad side of everything. I also like to think of myself as a hypocrite. During my free time, I enjoy picking on people who use double negatives in their sentences. My friends know me as a grammar freak, but my grammar isn't so good either--they just don't know that! =) If you spend enough time with me, you will find me as a VERY boring person...
When and why did you start your blog?
I just started my blog early July so I'm a total newbie to this. I am not sure why I started this blog, but I think it has something to do with the fact that I like sharing my thoughts with the world. Do you know the feeling you get when you finish the last page of a book? That whole rush? Well it sticks with me for a couple of days and I will keep thinking about it. So then, I have these thoughts of how I think the book will be better, how much I liked of it, etc. That happens with every book I read. Perhaps, that's why I started it; because I am already critiquing the novel inside my head--so why not share it with others who might be interested?
What is your blog all about? Any cool features you want to share?
My blog is just like the name of it--anything bookish (YA, of course) So far, I only have reviews, though. I like making book trailers, so that's a thing that might show up every once in a while. In fact, there's a book trailer in the first post I did on the blog.
Do you have a review system? If you do, would you like to explain it for us?
I do have a review system--a rough one. I give a book a rating depending on how I like it and how much I would recommend others to read it. it ranges from a 1 to a 5, with the 5 being the highest.
Any tips or advice for those starting or thinking about starting a blog?
I don't feel qualified to give others advice in book blogging because I have just started. But I do want to tell them to write lively reviews --unlike mine-- to keep the attention of other readers. Also, they should be very specific in what they like and what they don't like.
What are some of your favorite genres and/or books currently?
Obviously, everything is in the YA age range. But for favorite genre, I'd have to say most of the books I read are a mix of everything with romance in them. Among my favorite books are Two Way Street, the Uglies Series, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hunger Games, several books by Sarah Dessen, Airhead Series, Prada and Prejudice, Blue Bloods Series, Gallagher Girls Series, etc. The list can go on forever...
