Saturday Spotlight: That Chick That Reads

Welcome one, welcome all to the first EVER Saturday Spotlight. It is here that you will learn about new bloggers that you should get to know! Please take a gander at each blogger's page and try to leave a comment if you have a chance.

A quick note before we get started: I will be running Spotlights on both Saturdays and Sundays for a few months until I run out of interviews/guest bloggers (and then I will be hunting for new blogs to feature).

Tell me a bit about yourself.

I'm a college student, majoring in English Literature. I am a big reader, anyone who knows me personally knows that I always carry a book or two in my bag. I'm 19 years old, enjoy watching cross country and track meets. I know most of you are thinking wow... must be boring (LOL), well it's always been my thing.

When and why did you start your blog?
I started a new blog just last week. I've had the idea surging through my head since March, but I just launched it last week. I wanted to start a blog with book reviews because I usually find awesome books and I want to express just how good they are.

What is your blog all about? Any cool features you want to share?
My blog mostly consists of book reviews, contest alerts, and the occasional fan fiction praise. It also has upcoming book releases. I don't have a complete order on how I want my blog laid out just yet, but, for the most part, it's working for me.

Do you have a review system? If you do, would you like to explain it for us?
I don't really have a review system, it is still in the works.

Any tips or advice for those starting or thinking about starting a blog?
Think of something that you enjoy doing and could talk about for hours and just start one! They are fun and you can definitely find new friends and people to talk to them about.

What are some of your favorite genres and/or books currently?
I love to read pretty much anything, but my favorite genre has to be Young Adult fiction. My current favorite books are the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, Succubus series by the same author, and Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen.
