Teaser Tuesday - Give up the Ghost

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week's teaser is from Give Up the Ghost by Megan Crewe.

We stared at each other, and my stomach turned over. He looked different, vaguely, like he'd wilted around the edges.
- p. 157

  1. Witted arpund the edges? This sounds to me like a sad ghost!

  2. Wilting does not sound like a good thing. Great teaser.
    Mine is here:

  3. We can't have a ghost "wilted around the edges," now, can we?

My teaser is at Rainy Days and Mondays:

  4. "Wilted" says so much, dudn't it?

From Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold (page 58):

"Part of me wished swift vengeance, wanted my father to turn into the man he could never have been--a man violent in rage."

  5. ooooo I just started reading this today... I'll have to Teaser Tuesday two other sentences.
