Tell me a bit about yourself.

I'm sixteen, and I live in Wisconsin. I love to read and write, and I also help out with my sister's basketball teams.

When and why did you start your blog?

I started a little over a month ago. I have been reading for as long as I can remember, and I'm always recommending books to my friends. As I said, I love to write also, so a book blog is the perfect way to incorporate both of these passions.

What is your blog all about? Any cool features you want to share?

My blog, as of right now, is your standard blog: 5-star scale, and I list title, author, number of pages, summary, and a review. Something special I have is for each book I review, I try to specifically recommend it to a group of readers, i.e. romance-lovers, fans of Harry Potter, etc., along with an age group. I've just started, so hopefully I'll be adding for special features soon!

What are some of your favorite genres and/or books currently?

I read mostly Young Adult fiction, centering on fantasy and "chick lit". I also read some classics. I'll even review a book I read for school if it's good enough.

How do you find out about the books you read?

Usually from other blogs like this one! Or I'm wandering the library or bookstore and something will jump out at me. My friends are readers too, so they'll often swap books with me.

Any tips or advice for those starting or thinking about starting a blog?

Just do it! I thought about starting a blog for a while, but I just kept putting off because I didn't know where to start. When I finally decided to do it, it turned out to be super easy! So if you love to read and want to spread the word about good books, just start one! You can always tweak it later.
