Read-a-thon Activity #2 - Reviewathon

Today's awesome activity is hosted by Red House Books.

And what it's all about:

Just like the Read-A-Thon was meant to help make a dent in our massive TBR piles, this activity is here to help encourage you to work on getting your reviews in order.

Sign up below with your Review-A-Thon post and you could win a copy of Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins! There are other great prizes you can win as well - head over to The Neverending Shelf for all the details!

This activity really could be what you make of it. I'm going to make a massive list of all the books I want to post reviews for. I'm hoping to get a chunk of these reviews done - scheduling as many as I can out over the next couple of weeks. The others, I'm hoping to at least get started.

So, I have some serious backlog. Anyone notice that most of my Monday posts now have a (reviews coming soon) after the books I've read? Well, I'm super behind. Mostly because of the 22 books I read during Kate and my read-off a few weeks ago.

So, here's the books I've read and need to review:

Flyte by Angie Sage
Frankie Pickle and the Closet of Doom by Eric Wight
The Cave by Steve McGill
Hatter M: Mad with Wonder by Frank Beddor
Kin by Holly Black
Kith by Holly Black
Crogan's Vengeance by Chris Schweizer
Bones of Faerie by Janni Lee Simner
Border Crossing by Jessica Lee Anderson
Read The Castle of Galomar (New Brighton Archeological Society) by Mark Andrew Smith & Matthew Weldon
Courtney Crumrin's Monstrous Holiday by Ted Naifeh
Dead Guy Spy by David Lubar
Sanctuary (Wicked Lovely: Desert Tales Vol. 1) by Melissa Marr
The Witchy Worries of Abbie Adams by Rhonda Hayter
Everlasting by Angie Frazier
Forget Her Nots by Amy Brecount White
Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves
Whisper by Phoebe Kitanidis

Yep.. 19 of them. *sigh* So let's be realistic - I may get half of these done today - hopefully. The others I'll spread out throughout the week.

Cheer me on peeps, I'll be needing it.

  3. Good luck Kristen! I am really behind on my review writing too. I have this bad habit of reading book after book without stopping to review and then I have to try to remember what I thought of the books I've read. I think I'll have to sign up for the Reviewathon too!

  9. You can do it Kristen!
especially the Kith & Kin books because they're graphic novels and though there is still a lot of text, it isn't as long. The pictures will move it along quickly so I say read those if you fall into an ADD kinda state; it will be easier to pick up quickly where you leave off again b/c of the pictures :)

  10. Oh my god, I am SO behind in reviews! I keep telling myself to write them asap after finishing the book (which would give me incentive, if I couldn't start another until it was done) -- but I don't listen to myself very often...
I made a list last night of all of the books I NEED to read and review in the next 3 months (meaning, all those on their way to me + Jane in June books + Wild Things challenge books (just the ones I really want to read, as I know I won't finish) -- yeah, the list was like 40 strong -- and I know more will come along that I want to read. I need to rein myself in!
