News:
- Wednesday night, I flew out of work to go to Holly Black's prepublication event for White Cat - hosted at Anderson's Bookshop. Holly was fantastic and even wore gloves throughout the evening (pertains to something important in her novel).
- I spent Thursday night in the company of the legendary Tamora Pierce. I was able to snag a seat at her table during NIU's 30th Annual Children's Conference. She was fantastic. I can't even tell you how on top of the world I felt eating dinner with her. Her talk was on how authors are pirates and how she stole from many different things in order to create her books.
- I also spent all day Friday at the conference as well and met some cool authors and learned a bit about science fiction for primary grades.
- I'm going to meet Carrie Ryan tomorrow and am VERY excited. :)

You have some great books to read. Sisters Red sounds really interesting and I read Hearts at Stake last week. I look forward to reading your review of Sisters Red. I've also heard good things about White Cat and Watersmeet. Frankie Pickle sounds like such a fun series of books. Enjoy your reading!

Okay, I just need to say this...I AM SO JEALOUS! I love Holly Black! Definitely one of my favorite authors. I was quite sad I didn't manage to snag an ARC of White Cat, but I'm definitely looking forward to reading it when it comes out!
